Description:

In a varied hike, you go through all vegetation zones from Schattwald up to the Lower Stuibenalpe, until we find ourselves at our first peak, the Bschießer, amid an alpine landscape. Over a wild but hardly exposed ridge, we reach our second peak, the Ponten, whose cross we reach via a challenging final section. From here, the path leads us down the German side to the rustic Willersalpe. The products of the local dairy taste particularly good there. Since overnight stays at Willersalpe cannot currently be offered due to staffing reasons, we finish with a one-and-a-half-hour descent down to overnight in Hinterstein.

Tip:

The mountain cheese at Willersalpe tastes excellent!

Safety guidelines:

Along the entire Grenzgänger route, surefootedness and a sure head are fundamental requirements. These are alpine paths and trails!
