A varied summit tour with an alpine character: from the valley village of Jungholz, steep paths and short climbing passages lead to two striking peaks with magnificent views. A tour for sure-footed mountain lovers with a head for heights – rewarded with an impressive panorama.
The circular tour starts directly in Jungholz and combines everything that makes for an exciting mountain hike: quiet forest paths, panoramic ridges and a touch of via ferrata. The ascent is initially steep, following a beaten path along the former ski slope – it is only above the forest that the tour reveals its alpine character. Behind the forest, the most exciting part of the tour begins: the ascent to the Sorgschrofen leads over steep terrain, which is secured with ropes in places and requires sure-footedness.Between the two peaks – Sorgschrofen and Zinken – lies the most challenging section: a narrow ridge with exposed passages where you have to use your hands for support or scramble. The view down into the depths accompanies you to the second peak, the Zinken, from where you can enjoy an impressivepanorama. The descent is via much easier paths. Gently sloping paths and forest trails lead back to Unterjoch via the north side of the two peaks and finally to the starting point in Jungholz. A tour that requires fitness, sure-footedness and a head for heights – and rewards you with genuine mountain moments.
