Jungholz is Austria's smallest enclave with around 300 inhabitants. Nestled in a wintry natural landscape, the village is a real insider tip and the ideal starting point for a variety of winter activities away from the hustle and bustle.
This medium-difficulty winter hike leads up to the Pfeifferberg (1,457 meters) and is guaranteed to offer wonderful panoramic views of the snow-covered Allgäu and Tyrolean mountains - accompanied by soothing tranquillity and clear mountain air. There are several places to stop for refreshments along the route as well as winter sights that invite you to linger.
