Description

The hike starts in Oberau. The route initially leads towards the Achentalalm alpine pasture and continues past the Georg Chapel up to the Kragenjoch pass. This section is mostly on well-maintained paths. From the Kragenjoch, the route descends moderately towards Kundl, with only a few exceptions. There, the section through the Kundl Gorge begins.
The return to Oberau follows the Kundl Gorge with a gentle, steady climb. The Wildschönauer Ache river has carved its way through the gorge here. Steep rock faces, rising up to 200 meters high, characterize this section. The path through the gorge is well-maintained and offers an impressive natural experience before the route leads back to Oberau.
