Mountain railway Gondelbahn Hochkössen

The top of the Gondelbahn Hochkössen is an excellent starting point for many walks and hikes in the mountains. Here at 1,800 metres above sea level there is plenty to see and do, including walks on the Unterbergerhorn mountain with its fabulous views stretching all the way from the Walchsee lake to the Chiemsee lake in Germany and the peaks of the Hohe Tauern and Wilder Kaiser mountains. Paragliders can often be found taking off from the north-facing and west-facing slopes of the Unterbergerhorn. The take-off point at 1,500m can be easily reached using the Unterbergerhornbahn lift.
