At 2,102 meters, nestled in the mountains between Schafreuter and Delpsjoch, this traditional mountain hut invites you to take a break. Built in 1922 by the DAV Tölz section, it combines history with hearty hut cuisine: from popular classics to creative, sustainably prepared dishes.

The Tölzer Hütte is situated on Tyrolean territory, high up on the saddle between Schafreuter and Delpsjoch. As a classic mountain shelter, it was built in 1922 by the Tölz section of the German Alpine Association (DAV) and is still a popular base for all those who want to experience the area around the Schafreuter.
Depending on snow conditions, the Tölzer Hütte is open from mid-May to mid-October. If you stop off here, you will not only find a special place to take a deep breath and enjoy yourself, but also an ideal starting point for discovering approaches, tours and peaks in the surrounding mountains - including a hut experience with overnight accommodation and culinary delights.
From the parking lot at the Tölzer Hütte bus stop, briefly follow the forest path, then the hut path leads steadily uphill to a fork where you can choose between the left and right Leckbachweg route. With beautiful views of the Karwendel mountain range, both paths lead nicely to the hut (approx. 2.5 hours each, moderately difficult).
