Description

When the two ski areas of Alpbachtal and Wildschönau in the western Kitzbühel Alps were connected a few years ago, a winter sports arena was created that offers families in particular a wide variety of slopes across several mountains. Blue and red slopes can be found in the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau as well as black slopes and freeride routes. Boarders won't miss out either - there are three snow parks.

Although the range of slopes and the number of lifts are large, skiing in Alpbachtal-Wildschönau is comparatively stress-free. In the two ski kindergartens, well-trained supervisors take care of the little ones, in the five ski schools they are taught the basics of snow sports, and in the Alpbachtal and Schatzberg Family Park snow parks there are beginner lines that even the youngsters can try out. The highest point of the ski area is the hut below the Wiedersbergerhorn at 2,025 meters above sea level.

A total of more than 20 restaurants and huts cater for winter sports enthusiasts. And almost all the slopes can now be covered with artificial snow - just in case Mother Hulda goes on strike.
