Description

The St. Johann in Tirol cable car ski area on the snow-sure north side of the Kitzbüheler Horn is one of the more compact types, but at the same time has a lot to offer. It is relaxed and family-friendly, with many blue pistes, especially at lower altitudes, and a good selection of red pistes for advanced skiers. Access to the ski area is extremely convenient: in Oberndorf in Tirol, in the area close to the center of St. Johann in Tirol and at Eichenhof, there is the option of taking the cable car up. A particular highlight is the black piste, an FIS run with the most beautiful panoramic views and a difference in altitude of 1,000 meters. There are a total of 10 ski lifts and 40 kilometers of pistes. The highest point is the Harschbichl at 1,604 meters above sea level, which is accessible by cable car from three sides. Several free practice lifts make it easier for children and beginners to get started on the slopes. Kids learn to ski in a playful way with the region's mascot "Yappy Yapadu". Yappy is a lucky charm, best friend, mascot and companion in the St. Johann in Tirol region of happiness.
