Avalanche Danger Scale
1 (LOW)
An avalanche release is only possible under heavy additional load on very few, extreme steep slopes. No spontaneous avalanches (so-called slides) are to be expected. Generally safe conditions.
2 (MODERATE)
An avalanche release is probable under heavy additional load especially on the specified steep slopes. Larger avalanches are not expected. The snow cover is generally well consolidated except at some steep slopes. Careful route selection at the specified steep slopes and slope exposures.
3 (CONSIDERABLE)
An avalanche release is probable already under slight additional load especially on the specified steep slopes. Occasionally some medium, occasionally also large avalanches are possible spontaneously. The snow cover is only moderately to weakly consolidated on many steep slopes. Experience in avalanche evaluation is necessary. The specified steep slopes and slope exposures should be avoided if possible.
4 (HIGH)
An avalanche release is possible already under slight additional load especially on the specified steep slopes. Occasionally many medium, sometimes also large avalanches occur. On many steep slopes, the snow cover is only weakly consolidated. When choosing routes, restriction to moderately steep terrain and attention to avalanche run-out areas. A lot of experience in avalanche evaluation is necessary.
5 (VERY HIGH)
Numerous large avalanches, also in moderately steep terrain, are to be expected spontaneously. Under this warning level no safe operation in ski areas is possible. The snow cover is generally weakly consolidated and unstable. Avoidance of tours is recommended.

Recommended Ski Touring Equipment
The "normal ski touring equipment" consists of touring skis with touring bindings, telescopic poles, climbing skins, crampons, a digital avalanche transceiver, avalanche shovel, avalanche probe, first aid kit, and a mobile phone. A "complete glacier equipment" consists of a harness, two prusik loops of different lengths or ascenders, two HMS carabiners, an ice axe, crampons, and a rope. A backpack with appropriate contents should be carried, including spare clothing, sun protection, cold protection, food, and plenty to drink! Do not forget to bring hygiene items and a hut sleeping bag if staying overnight in huts!
DIFFICULTY RATING
From the parking lot at Sattele, head northwest on a comfortable incline along the toboggan run to Feldringalm. Over a meadow to the forest edge, a short stretch through the forest, until you reach the open areas of the Feldringer Böden. From here head east, always keeping to the right of the wooded ridge, across the wide grounds, towards the already visible summit. First, go past under the summit, then turn left and go over the ridge to the summit! Variant: You can also follow the "Winterweg" sign to the right after just a few minutes of ascent - in doing so you leave out the alpine pasture and reach the Feldringer Böden south above the pasture. An ascent via the winter hiking path from Marlstein is also possible.
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. The final stop or exit point is the ÖTZTAL station. Afterwards, you can travel conveniently and quickly by public transport or local taxi companies through the entire valley to your desired destination!
