Ski tour Seefelder Joch

Seefeld / Karwendel
Difficulty ratings: medium
Route length: 5.8 km
Duration: 2:30 h

The cross-country ski tour to the Seefelder Joch follows groomed trails up to 2,064 meters and offers breathtaking views of the Karwendel—ideal for beginners and those looking to enjoy the scenery.

Tour character

From the valley station, the route to the Seefelder Joch is about 5.8 kilometers. The first section usually does not follow the ski slope but instead takes a specially constructed forest trail north of the funicular. However, if there isn’t enough snow, it’s possible to ascend via the Brandl slope. Along the way, there are two places to stop for refreshments: the Hochegg-Alm below the Kaltwassersee reservoir and the Rosshütte at the funicular’s mountain station at about 1,750 meters. The final steep section down the Jochabfahrt is challenging—but well worth it for the fantastic panoramic view at 2,060 meters above sea level. Alternatively, the tour can end at the Rosshütte.
