Gentle ascent through forest clearings past the Kuh Alm Fiss (refreshment stop) to the Schönjochbahn mid station.
Head to the upper parking area right at the bottom stations in Fiss to start your tour to Steinegg. At the beginning, the tour has the same routing as “Route 1 – Frommes” and takes you on piste no. 6. After about 200 m the route branches off to the left on the Gedirgeweg (winter hiking trail). From there, the route leads you through forest clearings and follows gentle ascents to Kuh Alm Fiss at 1,760 m in about one hour. Then continue on Fiss Energy & Senses Trail (winter hiking trail) to the mid station of the Schönjochbahn. Shorter option: Follow the signs at the final section of the winter hiking trail (if there is enough snow).
