Vennspitze

Route length: 2.9 km
Duration: 2:30 h

An easy & relatively safe ski tour. It enjoys great popularity (also among beginners) and is therefore often heavily frequented, especially in good weather & good conditions. Due to the northern slope, good snow conditions prevail until well into spring. It is worthwhile to stop at the starting point at Gasthof Steckholzer.

Description

The starting point of this tour is the parking lot above the Steckholzer Inn in Padaun in the Vals Valley (1579 m). Head southeast along the Padanuerbach stream until you reach a steep step. Then we reach the somewhat flatter upper valley floor, across this straight in we are already approaching the summit. Continuing in the hollow we keep to the right towards the Joch, then to the left towards the already near Vennspitze at 2,390m above sea level.
