Toboggan run Rinner Alm toboggan run

Rinn/Judenstein
Difficulty ratings: medium
Route length: 3.7 km
Duration: 1:30 h

The Rinner Alm toboggan run is one of our classic natural toboggan runs in Tyrol: separate ascent path through the forest, very cozy hut for a convivial stop, long, winding downhill fun.

We recommend because:

... the Rinner Alm is one of the coziest places to stop for a bite to eat around Innsbruck.

Description

The ascent begins at the southern end of the village of Rinn and leads to the Rinner Alm via a separate, wide winter hiking trail, which is separated from the toboggan run. This means there are no collisions between hikers and tobogganists. During the approximately 1.5-hour ascent, you can always enjoy wonderful views of the Inn Valley - from Innsbruck via Hall to Mils and Rinn.

Shortly before you reach the Rinner Alm, there is a short descent of around 30 metres in altitude, which can be used for a first short toboggan run.

Once at the top, the Rinner Alm offers an ideal opportunity for refreshments with traditional Tyrolean specialities and warm drinks.

The 4 km long toboggan run takes the same route back down into the valley. It is well prepared and offers a varied but not too steep experience. Night tobogganing is particularly impressive and is possible on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm.
