Alpine trail run across Rofanspitze, Sagzahn and Vorderes Sonnwendjoch: 26 km, 1,900 m ascent, technical trails, exposed sections and great views.
This demanding trail run starts at the municipal office in Münster and leads via Höllenstein, Seitensteinalm and Sonnwendbühelalm to Schermsteinalm. From here, the terrain becomes alpine: narrow, steep and technically challenging trails lead across Krahnsattel and Graberscharte to Rofanspitze at around 2,250 m. After Schafsteigsattel, the key section awaits at Sagzahn: a short, exposed and cable-secured passage of around 50 metres. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are essential. Via Vorderes Sonnwendjoch, the long descent begins, first on technical trails and later past Bayreuther Hütte and along forest roads. From Wehralm, another steep trail leads down to Grünsbach before an easier final section takes you back to Münster. With 26 km and around 1,900 metres of ascent, this is a challenging alpine route for experienced trail runners.
