Description

This winter walk into the Oberautal in Achenkirch starts at the northernmost pier of the Achenseeschifffahrt, Scholastika, directly on the lake shore. The route is easy and relaxed, leading past the Alpen Caravan Park Achensee towards the quiet Oberautal valley. From the campsite, it’s only a few kilometres into the peaceful valley, where, with a bit of luck, chamois may be seen foraging. On the way back, there are places to stop for refreshments at the Achensee Stüberl or the Fischerwirt – both located near the campsite and offering views of the snow-covered Achensee.
