The route starts at the Bichlalm. Follow the clearly marked forest track No. 17 (which is also a toboggan run) downhill for 1 km. A path branches off to the right through the woods, leading back up the valley towards Hintertux. After passing through the winter woodland, the route continues across snow-covered fields until you reach path No. 11 above Hintertux, near houses 744 to 749c).
Here you must decide whether to take the route heading out of the valley (paths No. 11 and No. 12) to Madseit, or the final section of the route heading into the valley to the end of the valley, where you can take the glacier cable car.
