Arrival by public transport
By train to Sonthofen, Pfronten/Ried or Reutte, then by bus to Grän.
Starting from the district of Grän at the Burgschenke inn to Adlerhorst and back to Grän-Lumberg.
It should be noted that there is also an increased risk of accidents and injuries when snowshoeing. Special attention should be paid to the snow surface and avalanche danger. Suitable clothing, good footwear (hiking boots) and hiking poles provide additional safety. Stay on the marked paths.
Contemporary and well-maintained equipment (snowshoes, mountain or hiking boots, poles, warm, functional and waterproof clothing, possibly gaiters) not only provides a significant level of safety but also makes snowshoeing much easier. Sun protection (high protection factor and possibly sunglasses) and enough fluids should not be forgotten.
Compared to other winter sports, snowshoe hiking can be learned very easily and in the shortest time. Those who want to embark on a wild romantic discovery journey, away from the described snowshoe routes, should best do so with a local mountain and hiking guide who knows the most attractive spots along the way.

On the A7 motorway at the "Oy-Mittelberg" exit, take the B310 towards Wertach and then Oberjoch. There follow the signs "Tannheimer Tal" B199, exit Grän. From the Tyrol side via Reutte on the B198 towards Lechtal to Weißenbach, over the Gaichtpass along the B199 to exit Grän. By train to Sonthofen, Pfronten/Ried or Reutte, then by bus to Grän.
