Description

Start your hike at the hiking starting point Going Zentrum, right next to the sports shop Goingsport. From there, hike towards Goinger Dorfplatz, which is a well-known filming location for the series "Der Bergdoktor". Enjoy the view of the picturesque Wilder Kaiser with its rugged and striking peaks, which rises high opposite the church.

Leaving the square to the east, you will come directly onto the Söllnerweg, which turns into a trail and leads you slowly up the Astberg. Do you see the snow crystals glistening? Do you feel the sun's rays tickling your skin? And can you hear nothing but the silence of the snow-covered nature, apart from the crunching of your shoes in the snow?

On the way, you will pass the Gabelhof and other rustic farms until you reach the Hollenauer Kreuz junction. Continue through the wintry forest, with the sun shining through the branches, until you reach the road. Passing the small Plattenteich, follow the signs towards Hollenauer Kreuz. Enjoy the peace and quiet you feel on the way to your destination.

Once you have reached your destination at 1,030 metres, not only the best natural front-row seat with the Wilder Kaiser within reach awaits you, but also the delicious, homemade apple strudel at the Jausenstation Hollenauer Kreuz, which tastes best in a deckchair, warmed by the sun's rays.
