Maria Brettfall - Ellerboden - Öxltalweg - Rotholz - Strass (Trail Nr. 1)
Set off from the Municipal office and head past the festival hall before heading up the Kirchsteig towards the hamlet of Astholz. After the underpass, follow the good hiking trail along a winding path heading up through the forest until you reach the Maria Brettfall pilgrimage church. The trail
continues uphill from there to Ellerboden (a short climb on the right leads to a lookout point that offers a magnificent view). Stay on the forest road until this merges with the Öxltalweg trail. The asphalt road heads downhill towards the village of Rotholz. At the beginning of the village, before the first houses, head right and downhill on the hiking trail along the edge of the forest and back to Strass.
