Snowshoe hike in the mountaineering village of Vals with magnificent views from the summit at 2,066m.
From the parking lot next to the road above Gh Steckholzer, head south along the road to the last farm - the Larcherhof. From there, follow the marked summer trail no. 82 to the Padauner Kogel. The trail begins across a meadow uphill and between two fences, then leads through a section of forest and quite steeply uphill to a material ropeway. There the forest thins out and you continue northwards over the broad ridge (Padauner Mähder) to the summit with its cross.
