Description

The snowshoe tour starts from the ski bus stop at the Lackenstüberl to the Wetterkreuz above the Obersee. The route continues to the border with South Tyrol with a wonderful view of Lake Antholz - along the border to the Heimkehrerkreuz and then to the Oberseehütte, where you can stop for refreshments. After a little refreshment, you return to the starting point on the western shore of the lake.

Our tip: Take this tour as a Nature Watch Tour with the National Park Ranger
A Hohe Tauern National Park ranger will accompany you on the 4-hour tour and share his knowledge about the valley, the small and large inhabitants of the national park and the history of Austria's oldest national park. Let yourself be carried away into the world of solitude and silence of the Defereggen Valley.
