The winter hike in Reith im Alpbachtal begins with an unforgettable ascent on the Reitherkogelbahn. Already in the gondola, you enjoy spectacular views of the snow-covered Alpbachtal that awaken your anticipation for the upcoming adventure.

Once at the top, you step out into a magical winter world. The well-prepared path leads you through an enchanted forest where the trees are coated as if with icing sugar and the snow crystals sparkle in the sun. Enjoy the clear, fresh alpine air and the tranquility on the mountain.

The trail winds gently without notable elevation change towards Reither Kogel. With each step, the world seems a little quieter until you finally reach the beautiful plateau at the foot of Reither Kogel. There awaits you a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding snow-covered mountains. Take a moment to absorb the peaceful beauty of the winter landscape. The winter hiking path leads you in a loop through a magical forest back to the top station. 

This route is ideal for families and leisure walkers. With a total length of about 2.5 kilometers and a walking time of approximately one hour, the hike is pleasant and easy to manage.

A special highlight is the three rest stops inviting you to take a short break:

1. Wetterkreuz Fürst: After the Fürsten farm, on the sunny plateau to the left of the trail, this wonderful resting place can be found
2. Zaubermoor Hut: Once back in the forest, to the left is the Zaubermoos. Manni Mud Monster cannot be overlooked. A shelter with a drink vending machine is a popular rest spot. 
3. Viewing platform: Shortly before returning to the top station, on the left side of the path is a large viewing platform with a magnificent panoramic view of the Inn valley. Below the platform, there is a shelter with beautiful wooden steps – you will feel like you are in an outdoor sauna.

Back in the valley, the anticipation of a cozy stop warms you up. A hot cocoa or a cup of mulled wine in one of the welcoming guesthouses is the perfect conclusion to this winter fairy tale in Reith im Alpbachtal.
