Ski Resorts Open until Easter Weekend

While down in the valley winter’s white coat slowly recedes, giving way to the many colours of spring, Tirol’s high-altitude ski resorts offer slopes covered with the spring snow which skiers and snowboarders love. This special type of snow, known as Firn, is formed when the upper layer of snow freezes overnight and then thaws during the daytime. Its soft yet grippy consistency make it a dream for cruising – and there is no better time to do so than early in the morning just after the lifts have opened. The following ski areas are open until Easter Monday.

Ski Resorts Open until after Easter

Easter is over and spring is in the air, but in 17 ski resorts across Tirol winter is very much still the name of the game. After all, at altitude skiers and snowboarders can still look forward to good snow conditions and great fun on the slopes. What’s more, spring is a time of year when the dazzling sun warms the faces and hearts of wintersports enthusiasts. The following ski areas are open after Easter.
