Achlhof in Ellmau: over 300-year-old horse farm near the village center. Known for Haflingers, carriage rides, and excursions. Guided rides daily at 9 a.m. as well as longer tours (e.g. Rübezahl-Alm on Thursdays, Faistenbichl on Fridays). Reservation required.

AT THE ACHLHOF HORSE FARM

The more than 300 year old Achlhof is idyllically situated only 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Ellmau. The Achlhof is especially known for its beautiful Haflinger horses, the horse-drawn sleigh rides in winter and the carriage rides in summer.

The in-house riding track is the best place to ride.

A guided ride is possible every morning at 9 am (approx. 50 min). You should be able to walk, trot and gallop.
Rides at other times are also available on request. Fancy a pond, step, twilight or evening ride? Day and even 2-day rides are available on request.
 

On Thursdays we ride into the mountains at 9 am to the Rübezahl-Alm (duration approx. 5 - 6 hours).

Every Friday at 9 a.m. there is a wonderful horseback ride into the Faistenbichl area (approx. 2 - 2 1/2 hours).
