Ideally located, you have the opportunity for ice fishing from early January to the end of March. Starting from early April, the fishing lake summer season begins. Brook and rainbow trout as well as brook char are farmed.
The Leutascher Fishery
The fishing rights at Weidachsee and the Leutascher Ache are currently owned by Mr. Angerer. He operates a quality fish breeding operation recognized by the agricultural chamber and specializes in the production of stocking and table trout. Stream and rainbow trout as well as brook char are bred here. "Fish Roasting" - we are happy to grill your catch on-site for you.
In this dream location, you have the opportunity to fish from early April to the end of Octoberwithout prior registration for a small entrance fee. A fishing test is not required, which makes the fishing pond very popular among beginners. If you don’t have your own equipment, you can easily rent one. The lake is also excellent for fly fishing, as fishing is done from a 400 m long wooden pier.
Rules for Fishing
Please observe the applicable rules for fishing at Weidachsee. Additionally, inform yourself about the regulations for fishing with children and adhere to them as well. You can find the information here.
OPENING HOURS:
from April 1 to November 1 from Tuesday to Sunday open from 07:00 a.m. to 07:00 p.m.! Monday is a rest day, except on public holidays when it remains open. In winter, adjusted opening hours apply. Information about current opening hours can be found here.
A Special Experience - Ice Fishing
In Leutasch, winter shows its most beautiful side: Snow-covered forests and sparkling snow blankets in the sun, framed by mighty mountains. Nestled in this winter landscape lies Weidachsee at 1123 m. Here, holes are drilled into the thick frozen ice surface for fishing, where anglers can try their luck with a short ice fishing rod.
Cafeteria and Fish Shop
In winter, the small cafeteria with an open fireplace attracts freezing ice fishers who can warm up after a successful catch with mulled wine and homemade hot drinks. In summer, it is delightful to relax on the spacious sun terrace, while observing the fishing activities from a shady distance.
If you enjoy fish but do not wish to fish yourself, you can supply yourself with fresh trout and char at the farm shop.
Please note, this is not a swimming lake!
