The Scharnitz train station is located directly on the main road in the town center. Accommodations, hiking trails, restaurants, and the Scharnitz Nature Park Info Center are within a few minutes' walk from the barrier-free station. The station itself is unattended, so tickets can be obtained free of charge directly on the train. Current timetable information for trains and buses can be found at all information offices in the Seefeld region.

Accessibility at this station is limited: The platforms are 38 cm high, so boarding the trains requires overcoming a step of about 17 cm. There is no tactile guidance system for visually impaired persons, and access to the platforms is through a service track and a short ramp with an incline of about 10%.
