When it comes to splashing & wet fun in the sun, the Magical Witches’ Water in Hochsöll is just the place to come and play! This amazing nature-themed water play park gives the young of age and young at heart a chance to enjoy sensory experiences with water—and to learn about the importance of water. The central part is a water park consisting of ponds and rivulets where children can splash and cool off with 60 different water play features. Children can learn how water erodes stones to make them smooth and flat in the stone grinding area, while budding researchers find out how engineers using technology and expertise to divert water. The Kneipp Ablution Trail with a series of cold pools is just perfect for kids (and adults) to cool off on hot summer days.
Some of the stations are dedicated to other natural phenomena such as the beehive, where visitors can dance the waggle dance of the bees. If you listen carefully, you will hear the wind playing the giant harp. And why not visit the workshop to see how woodcutters would have worked many centuries ago? The wonderful campfire next to the Witches’ Brook rounds out the roster of fun activities at the Magical Witches’ Water. Kids can spend the day splashing about while parents can kick back and relax. Activities vary depending on the weather and season.
A brand new feature is the Cow Station, where using a life-size wooden cow with movable parts children and their parents can learn about the body language of cows grazing in the meadows. The station also provides lots of information about cows in general – how long they live for, how much milk an average cows gives per day and why they have horns.
