Gramais is officially the smallest municipality in Austria. Its 47 inhabitants lovingly refer to the village they call home as the 'Pearl of the Lechtal Valley'.

The farming village of Gramais is picture-book pretty with its lush meadows giving way to the steep rockfaces of the Lechtal Alps. The valley is known for its many wild mountain streams and waterfalls as well as the five lakes close to Gramais. Far from the madding crowd, visitors can relax in an untouched paradise ideal for hiking and mountainbiking.

Among the cultural attractions well worth a visit is the Gramaiser Heimatmuseum local history museum. Here, visitors can learn about the history of what is officially the smallest municipality in Austria. Those in search of a traditional souvenir should visit the "Hofladen" shop in Gramais or the "Bauernladen" in neighbouring Häselgehr, both of which sell homemade produce and gifts.
