Cycling in Tirol


Mention the words "cycling" and "Alps", most people think of mountain biking. However, Tirol has a large network of easy cycle paths ideal for families and those who like to enjoy the landscape.

As well as granting access to postcard-worthy views and plenty of fresh air, Tirol’s network of over 920 kilometres of cycle paths take riders to some of the best eateries in the province. Cyclists can work up an appetite taking in the alpine splendour before tucking into a delicious spread at one of the many trailside inns and restaurants. Most of the riding is easy and on flat terrain. There is also the option of hiring an e-bike to complete longer rides with ease. Tirol has twelve cycling regions with cyclist-friendly accommodation, e-bike rental shops, free bike shuttles and repair shops.
