Attraction Burgruine Vilsegg

The Vilsegg Castle is a former fortification in Tyrol and is located about one kilometer northwest of the small town of Vils, between Pfronten and Füssen, just a few hundred meters from the German-Austrian border.The castle hill descends steeply all around, making the fortress, despite its relatively low position above the valley, difficult to attack. Vilsegg is about 350 meters lower than the neighboring castle Falkenstein, which is already situated on German territory.
