The "Museum im Grünen Haus" in the center of Reutte is one of the most stately buildings in our market town. It was probably built in the 16th century by a wealthy Reutten citizen as a residential house. The beautiful paintings inside the house also date from this period. The Reutten painter Johann Jakob Zeiller designed the facade of the building in 1779. The strong green gives the house its name. The museum is a proud four-time winner of the Tyrolean Museum Award as well as the Austrian Museum Quality Seal. Come by and visit our current special exhibitions. In the off-season we also offer a permanent exhibition worth seeing.
