The "Museum im Grünen Haus" in the center of Reutte is one of the most stately buildings in our market. It was probably built in the 16th century by a wealthy Reuttener citizen as a residential house. The beautiful paintings inside the house also date from this time.
The Reuttener painter Johann Jakob Zeiller designed the facade of the building in 1779. The vibrant green gives the house its name.
The museum is proud to be a four-time recipient of the Tirol Museum Prize as well as the Austrian Museum Quality Seal.
Come by and visit our current special exhibitions. During the off-season, we also offer a noteworthy permanent exhibition.
