Experience the highest mountain in Germany

Information

Source: Alpbachtal

Description

The Zugspitze, at 2,962 m, is the highest mountain in Germany and one of the showcase viewing mountains of the Alps. In good weather, you can enjoy the view stretching over four countries towards the two- and three-thousanders (and the only four-thousander) of the Eastern Alps. You can reach the summit directly from Ehrwald via the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn. The ride in the panorama gondolas, which can accommodate 100 people, is already an experience. Almost silently, you glide up the mountain, overcoming an altitude difference of 1,725 m in just 10 minutes.

For those who want to enjoy the winter views while skiing, the Zugspitzplatt is especially well-suited. The altitude and the glacier ensure snow reliability throughout the entire winter season.
