For an estimated 300 years, the fir tree on the Steinberg defies the weather and spreads a calm atmosphere and provides energy. The power that this single tree radiates impresses its visitors. The strong roots and the thick trunk embody security and stability. For people with a wanderlust, the fir is definitely worth a visit.

From the Brentenjoch (accessible with the Kaiserlift) hikers reach the Urtanne in about one and a half hours. First towards Gamskogel and slightly above the Steinbergalm is the quaint destination.

The fir tree. A tree like a mountain in front of the majestic peaks of the Wilder Kaiser. The mighty roots are strongly anchored in the earth.
