The best bars in Innsbruck

End the working day in a cosy atmosphere with a cool beer or a sparkling (non-alcoholic) cocktail - perhaps with a view of the mountains. Innsbruck has just the right bars for this.

Bar in an ancient vault: the "Fuchs & Hase" is hidden away on Domplatz. Creative drinks and natural wines from small winegrowers provide a special flavour experience. You won't want to say goodnight here for a long time!

Guest garden: yes, with a direct view of Innsbruck Cathedral
Dishes: sandwich creations such as the "Vietnamese Banh Mi" with pulled pork, pickled radish, fresh coriander and homemade Sriracha soy sauce
Recommendation on the drinks menu: " Fuchs & Hase-Spezial Sprudel" in white, yellow, orange, pink, red, purple and green. For example: "Weißer Sprudel" with mango, yoghurt liqueur, soda and Prosecco
Non-alcoholic: homemade cola
Our tip, because the guest garden offers shade in an urban setting in summer.

Good music, beautiful design and even better drinks - on warm evenings you can sit outside in the covered arch. Close to the "Messe" S-Bahn station, the "Plansch" opens in arch number 69, taking the name of the former swimming pool pub from Amras. Great fun!

Guest garden: even two - west and east
Recommendation on the drinks menu: " Negroni Sbagliato" - the light version of the classic Negroni. Mixed with Prosecco instead of gin.
Non-alcoholic: " Zirbe Zitrone" with fresh strawberries and basil
Our tip, because you can always find a cosy spot - in summer on the eastern terrace, in spring and autumn to the west and in winter inside.

    • PlaceInnsbruck

The Blaue Brigitte in the "Hotel Weisses Kreuz" is no ordinary attic. Instead of a bar, you sit at a large brass table - perfect for striking up a conversation. The furnishings: baroque style, blue and gold and elegant.

Guest garden: no, otherwise it wouldn't be a rooftop bar
Recommendation on the drinks menu: "The bee in the lemon tree", a very special cocktail with a light honey and thyme flavour. To prepare it, vodka is chilled for 24 hours with honey and thyme.
Non-alcoholic: " Basil smash", a non-alcoholic variation of "Gin Basil smash", with homemade basil syrup, freshly squeezed lemon juice and Tanqueray alcool free gin.
Our tip, because the bar is both classy and cosy. It also has a chilled sound, just right for the end of a working day.

La Cantina has been a hotspot for Italian flair and probably the best espresso in town for years. Whether for breakfast with freshly baked cornetti, a lunchtime snack or a glass of wine in the evening - there is always a convivial get-together here. The "Aperitivo" on Thursdays with a delicious buffet "à la Milano" is particularly popular.

Guest garden: yes

Recommendation on the drinks menu: in addition to fine Italian wines such as Lugana (my personal favourite), the taste of the coffee is a real highlight. In summer, you should definitely try the "affogato" (espresso with vanilla ice cream).
Our tip, because the coffee tastes just like in Italy

Non-alcoholic: vanilla-cinnamon iced coffee (not too sweet, perfect for the guest garden)
Our tip, because you can get really good drinks here in an urban atmosphere far from the classic tourist trails.
