Description

The Edmund Graf Hut is located at the foot of the Hoher Riffler in the Verwall group in the municipality of Kappl and can be hiked to from both Kappl and Pettneu in the Stanzer Valley.

The hut is somewhat secluded, very idyllic by a small lake in the high alpine terrain at 2408 meters, and radiates an unadulterated hut atmosphere.

From the mountain station Dias, one embarks on a multi-hour hike up; however, the efforts of the ascent are quickly forgotten when one can enjoy the fantastic view.

On beautiful days, the view extends to the Ortler group, the Allgäu, and into the Swiss Eastern Alps.

From the Edmund Graf Hut, the ascent to the Hoher Riffler at 3168 meters is possible - one of the most beautiful vantage mountains in Tyrol!
