The Hausersee hut on the "Geigenkamm", named after his highest sumit, the "Hohe Geige" (3395 m), in the Ötztal Alps. The lake which is hardly warmer than 4 degrees in summer, lends his name to the house. The hut is a self-catering hut and is sheltered in summer by a "hutkeeper".

hut taxi: in the main season in summer - every Tuesday up to the "Innerbergalm"; advanced reservation in the tourist office necessary.
