Description

The Sillianer Hut is the westernmost shelter of the Carnic Main Ridge. It serves as the starting and ending point of the Carnic High Trail 403 (Peace Trail - Via della Pace).

In addition to its function as a base hut for the Austrian Southern Alps Long-Distance Hiking Trail No. 03 (Sillian - Karawanken Trail - Radkersburg), the European Long-Distance Path 10, and the European Long-Distance Path Via Alpina, the Sillianer Hut is also a popular destination for guests and locals from the entire Hochpustertal valley.

In the immediate vicinity of the shelter, well-marked paths lead to the Heimkehrerkreuz 2373m, Helmgipfel 2433m, Hornischeck 2550m, Hollbrucker Eck 2573m, the War Cemetery Hochgränten, and many other worthwhile destinations.
