The mountain hut is situated at an altitude of 2,207 m and impresses with grand panoramic views of the 3,000-meter peaks of the Glockner, Schober, and Venediger groups in the Großglockner Resort.

The high-altitude hike to the Kals-Matreier Törl with the Törlhaus is often used as an introduction to the elevated location. After all, one can comfortably spend an entire day significantly above 2,000 m without having to exert oneself too much.
