The new Reichenbergerhütte is located at 2,586 meters in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park, along the popular Lasörling High Trail. From the Virgental, specifically from Prägraten am Großvenediger, the hut is easily reachable in about 5 hours of hiking. Another popular route is the hike from St. Jakob i.D. through the Trojeralm Valley. The hike from the Trojeralm parking lot takes about 4 hours.
