The old Sajathütte was destroyed by an avalanche in 2001, and the new hut was inaugurated just a year later. The castle in the mountains offers the highest comfort – panoramic comfort rooms and climber dormitories, 2 sun terraces with wonderful views, lounges with open fireplaces. 10-meter indoor climbing tower. Excellent for company and club outings, set up for courses and seminars. Rental of climbing equipment, luggage transport available. New webcam!
Ascent: From the parking lot "Bodenalm" along the Timmeltal about 2 ½ hrs, along the Bichl-Flora path 3 hrs, along the Bichl-Timmeltal 4 hrs, from the Johannishütte via the Kreuzspitze 4 hrs.
Huts nearby: Bodenalm 1 ½ hrs, Eisseehütte 2 ½ hrs, Bonn-Matreier-Hütte 4 hrs.
Tours: Rote Säule 2,822 m via the climbing route or via the usual ascent in 1 hour, Scherneskopf 3,048 m 1 ½ hours, Kreuzspitze 3,164 m 2 hours, Hinterer Sajatkopf 3,098 m 3 hours, Tulpspitze 3,054 m, Zopetspitze 3,198 m.
