The Unterwirt in Ebbs has been a hotel and restaurant recognized by Gault Millau since 1991.
At the Unterwirt, the four daughters—Bettina, Katrin, Maria, and Sabrina—the daughters of Anni and Edmund Steindl, grew up. Later, they spread their wings to explore fascinating worlds. Many years later, with rich experiences and overflowing inspiration, three, and currently two, of them have returned to the Unterwirt. In short: They are the Unterwirtinnen.
The Unterwirt has existed since 1490 and is a listed historical building. The unity of the main house, courtyard, and gardens has been documented since that time. In a building of this age, straight edges and right angles are a rarity. Many architectural projects turn out to be bold challenges.

Since November 2021, the Unterwirt has proudly been a member of Jeunes Restaurateurs. This association of top chefs and hosts consists of approximately 350 members from 15 countries, all dedicated to celebrating enjoyment at the highest level.
