Tyrol products

The eggs, meat and dairy products in Maria's farm store come from the Angererhof farm in Bad Häring. Maria also looks for quality when she selects delicacies from nearby farms for her store. You can also choose products for a farmer's basket here. "A nice gift idea."

We recommend because:

  • Dairy products, meat and eggs come directly from the Angererhof farm
  • everything from food and drinks to cosmetics and textiles from the region
  • Focus on organic and sustainable production, many products from Tyrol

Description

Organic free-range eggs, egg noodles, farmhouse bread, goat milk products, and kid goat meat—Maria Egger fills the counter of her farm shop with this diverse selection of goods from her own organic Angererhof. Maria Egger sources beef from an organic farm in Bad Häring, sheep yogurt and cheese from a farmer in Schwoich, and vegetables from another farm in Schwoich. This is important to the young shop owner. Every product in her farm shop must meet at least one of her criteria: it must be regionally produced, organic, or come from her own farm—or ideally, all three.

Now, she even sells organic cosmetics and personal care products, as well as baby clothes made from organic cotton, alongside sheep and goat milk soaps and lambskin slippers. Her husband’s farm is famous for its goat cream cheese, still prepared by Maria Egger’s mother-in-law using a family recipe. But in addition to the sheep milk products from the Schwoich farmer, she also selects special cheeses from the Alpbach Valley, Rotholz, and the Zillertal. Quality and proximity are key. Her organic grains come from Upper Austria's "grain belt," while the organic herbs and spices are grown in the Mühlviertel region.

Not available? Sometimes.
Fruits and vegetables are available from early summer to fall. Sheep milk products are offered from spring through late autumn, when the mother sheep take a break to regain strength for the birth of new lambs in spring.
