Cross-country skiing schools and biathlon courses in Tyrol

With professional instruction, you can get started with cross-country skiing and biathlon in no time at all. Tyrol's cross-country skiing schools teach beginners the correct technique - from classic style to skating - in just a few hours so that you can continue practising on your own. The guest biathlon combines dynamism on the cross-country ski trail with precision at the shooting range.

Where to go for a cross-country skiing course?

There are cross-country skiing schools almost everywhere. That's why we recommend: first choose a region and then the cross-country skiing school! These are our specialists when it comes to cross-country skiing courses.

Tyrolean cross-country skiing regions
  1. Seefeld region
  2. Paznaun Ischgl
  3. Tannheimer Valley
  4. Wipp Valley
  5. Ötztal
  6. East Tyrol
  7. Pillerseetal
  8. Kaiserwinkl

Do I need lessons at all?

Cross-country skiing doesn't actually require much prior knowledge: you can simply get on your skis and slide off. However, to be able to practise the sport properly, you need good cross-country skiing technique. We recommend three hours of private lessons to start with, whether alone or in pairs. That's all you need to learn the technique in either classic or skating style and to continue practising on your own.
