Description

This trail is freshly groomed every day. However, icy and slippery sections may still occur.

Trail Entry Point:

at the Wildmoosalm

Trail Character:

The A3 Torfstich Trail is a short, flat circular cross-country ski trail set amidst the peaceful high plateau landscape surrounding Wildmoos. It stretches 1.8 kilometres and winds through moorland, forest, and open terrain, offering wonderful views of the surrounding scenery. The trail starts and ends at the Wildmoosalm – a perfect spot for a break or as a base to combine with other trails.
Note:
Trail conditions can change throughout the day depending on the weather. Please be aware that icy sections or deep grooves may occur. Adjust your skiing accordingly.

Connecting Trails:
B3
Wildmoos See, B15 High-altitude Trail Leutasch-Wildmoos,  C2 Wildmoos and C3 Neuleutasch

An overview of the entire cross-country skiing network (incl. trail status) and helpful cross-country skiing information (ticket machines, waxing and service points, changing facilities, ...) can be found in the cross-country skiing report.

Dog trail:
On the A3 dog trail in the Wildmoos area, people and dogs can enjoy their rounds together. The trail can only be reached by the Wildmoos bus – dogs must wear a muzzle on the bus, and peak times should be avoided to prevent stressful situations for both dogs and people. As the trail is used by many cross-country skiers, consideration for others is especially important. Due to the narrow track and the high speed of other athletes, dangerous situations may otherwise occur. Please therefore stay at the edge of the trail so that faster skiers can overtake safely.

Important information about the dog trail:

  • Dogs must be kept on a leash along the entire trail
  • Only use the designated dog trail
  • Please clean up after your dog
  • Be considerate of other cross-country skiers: dogs should respond well to commands, be accustomed to the movements of other athletes, and always stay at the edge of the trail
