Description

The rustic restaurant, the Wildmoosalm, is located on a beautiful little plateau and is easily reachable on foot from Seefeld. You can sit on the sun terrace and take in the fabulous countryside while enjoying some home-made apple strudel served by the host himself. As well as an array of traditional desserts ‘like grandma used to make‘, the menu also offers plenty of hearty Tyrolean fare from a ’Brettljausn’ (mixed platter) to freshly-caught trout.

The Wildmoosalm is surrounded by lush meadows and gorgeous scenery and there is a rare natural phenomenon not too far away for you to visit - the aperiodic lake, the Wildmoossee, which only appears every few years. In winter, a picturesque cross-country trail leads directly past this charming Alm and in summer, there are hiking and biking trails aplenty. You can lock up and leave your bike at the Alm and there is also a charging point for e-bikes (please bring your own charger).

LOCATION & STARTING POINT
The Wildmoosalm is easily accessible from the historic village center in Seefeld with a leisurely walk on different paths. Alternatively, you can also master the access road with the (e-)bike, from 5 p.m. access by car is also allowed (parking on site). Alternatively, also accessible by taxi or horse-drawn carriage.

SUMMER TOURS

  • Circular Hike Around the Brunschkopf. On 13 picturesque kilometers through the meadows and forests around the Brunschkopf, this impressive circuit hike visits several huts and, with a bit of luck, the two rare, aperiodic natural phenomena of Wildmoossee and Lottensee. A detour to the Möserer See lake also rewards with a welcome cooling off at one of the warmest bathing lakes in Tyrol.
    To the walk
  • Bike tour: Moderately difficult, picturesque (e)-bike tour over the sunny Seefeld plateau. Start at the Gschwandtkopf in Seefeld and cycle to the lake, the Möserer See. From there the tour goes gently uphill along forest trails and past shady trees to the area known as Wildmoos. There are plenty of great photo opportunities at the various mountain lakes and alms along the way. The stretch from the Wildmoosalm to the Katzenkopf is a bit more demaninding and from the Katzenkopf carry on through the pretty valley, the Fludertal, back to Seefeld. To the Biketour
  • Brunschkopf. Moderately difficult circular tour from Kirchwald in Seefeld via Hörmannweg to the viewing platform Brunschkopf. Descend to the Wildmoosalm for some well-earned refreshment or go down to Mösern (known for its Peace Bell and Albrecht Dürer view) and back to Seefeld.
