Arrival by public transport
By bus line 4000 to the stop Schwendt Dorf.
The Kaiserwinklloipe is a difficult trail with a length of 27km and leads through the entire Kaiserwinkl.
The trail starts at the Schwendt cross-country skiing center and leads via the Lucknerhof and Kranebitta trails to the Schwendt Kreuzhäusl bus stop. Follow the trail via Unterschwendt to the hamlet of Leitwang and on to the Nordic Center. From the Nordic Center, head southwest to the sports field. Go past the sports field through the underpass under the main road and continue in a right-hand bend and then in a left-hand bend past a row of houses into the open field. Continue right into the forest until you reach a prominent cross-country ski trail junction. Here, turn left through the main road underpass into another open field in the district of Gundharting. Keep left over a steep slope to the next higher plateau. Then continue past the Hallbruckhof farm to Kranzach. Cross the main road at the Trachtenstube Achorner. From there you reach a loop in the open field - if you want to get to the center of Walchsee you have to get off here and walk on the sidewalk to the Seehotel Brunner where the cross-country ski trail connection continues.
You can also stay on the trail and return to Schwendt via Bichlach.
