Famous, popular, much frequented and still an exciting experience every time! The Zirbenweg above Innsbruck runs from the Patscherkofel mountain station to the Tulfeinalm (Tulfes).
True mountaineers are drawn back to the mountains, but after the high life in the city, this easy stage is just right. The legs can still rest a bit, as you take the bus or tram to Igls, then the gondola to the Patscherkofel mountain station. The Zirbenweg is a wide path without steep sections, leading eastwards. It rises only slightly over to the Boscheben Hut. From there either to the Viggartal to the Meißnerhaus or to the Tulfeinalm/Halsmarterlift. Descent to Tulfes and then back to Igls and Innsbruck. However, it is recommended to visit the beautiful historic town of Hall in Tirol from Tulfes.
