tram STB - stop "Nockhofweg/Muttereralm Bahn"
We have found you! The summit tour that will get your older children excited about the mountains: Skipping long forest paths on the gondola, an exciting, slightly exposed and not too long route to the summit, a refreshment stop on the descent and a descent on the mountain cart.
Summit tour to the Nockspitze, which is easily doable for older children. The ascent via the Pfriemeswand is quite exciting and leads over a secured rock step and slightly exposed narrow mountain paths. The descent is easier via the Birgitzköpflhaus and the Götzner Alm. The Mutterer Almbahn cable car takes you all the way down to the valley or, as a final highlight, mountain carts along the forest path.
Ascent up the Pfriemeswand: From the point where you disembark from the Muttereralm gondola, follow the signs for "Pfriemeswand" and head upwards at a slight angle. After a few meters, turn left onto a forest road and continue uphill until just below the Pfriemesköpfl. From here, follow the further signs for "Pfriemeswand-Nockspitze" towards the summit
Pfriemeswand - Nockspitze (Saile): The ascent continues through steep grassy slopes, with a short detour to the North Peak (2379 m). From the North Peak, the path follows a narrow ridge leading to the wide summit plateau, where the South Peak (2409 m) is located. The route presents a challenging climb and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountain landscape.
To get back to the starting point, hike back along the same route.
