Mountain hikes Stöttlalmbrücke circular hike

Mieming / Wetterstein Mountains & Mieming Range
Difficulty ratings: easy
Route length: 8.7 km
Duration: 2:30 h

With so many easy and sunny hikes on the Mieminger Plateau, it is difficult for us to choose just one. Fortunately, this tour via the Stöttlalm and Moosalm can be extended in all directions. Because most of the time you can't get enough of the spring sunshine and the many places to stop for refreshments on the lovely Mieminger Plateau anyway.

Tour character

The circular hike over the Stöttlalm bridge to the Stöttlalm and Moosalm is an easy and enjoyable tour on the Mieminger Plateau - ideal for anyone who wants to be outdoors without too much effort and combine forest, open meadows and beautiful views. The tour is easy to do in terms of fitness; technically, it remains uncomplicated as you are mainly on forest and asphalt paths. This makes it ideal for leisurely hikers, families and as a relaxed half-day tour.

Highlights include the refreshment stops at Stöttlalm and Moosalm, which give the tour a truly enjoyable character. In between, a pleasant section of forest (with a playground as a family-friendly extra) and the wide mossy meadows with typical larch meadows and old barns provide variety. The views of the landscape conservation area and the striking Mieminger mountain range are particularly beautiful - a peaceful, panoramic walk with "plateau flair" and several places to linger. This is also wonderful in the shoulder seasons of fall and spring, as it is south-facing and the refreshment stops are open all year round. The hike can easily be extended via Wildermieming to Gasthof Gerhardhof or to Untermieming to Gasthaus Locherboden or westwards across the larch meadows from Gschwent to Gasthof Stern.

Description

This loop connects the Stöttlalm above the Mieming Golf Park with the Moosalm inn in Barwies. From the Lehnbach parking lot, the slightly ascending forest path leads to the Stöttlalm, ideal for a first short break. Then walk back a short distance and cross the Lehnbach stream. Follow the forest path over the new Stöttlalm bridge towards Moosalm.

After a longer section of forest with a children's playground, you reach the wide landscape of the Mooswiesen meadows. A wide path leads through the characteristic larch meadows with old barns to the next refreshment stop: the Moosalm inn. Here too, the terrace offers wonderful views of the nature reserve and the impressive Mieminger mountain range. You then return to Obermieming through the same section of forest. After leaving the forest, follow the forest path to the right to the settlement and back to the starting point.
