A popular walk around the Rosskopf Peak
Take the cable car to the Markbachjoch from Niederau village. Enjoy the beautiful views of the Wilder Kaiser Mountains. Take the easy route to the Norderberg Alm and then up to the Rosskopf Hut and the tiny Horlerstiege Chapel. In the spring the meadows are covered in white and violet crocus and the banks of the streams with bright yellow globe flowers.
The route takes you then to the Käsealm(Cheese Alm) where homemade cheese and butter milk is served. Return to the Markbachjoch.
